Vision

To help win souls for Christ through efforts that establish and maintain order and help to direct the flow of service.

The Ushering ministry of Jesus House Birmingham serves as the doorkeepers of the church. It function, among others, is to ensure that worshipers feel welcome into the presence of God with a warm greeting, and a pleasant smile. Ushers at Jesus House Birmingham are like the law enforcement agents of the church. It assists the church leadership in maintaining reverence and order during services. Let all things be done decently and in order, (1 Corinthians 14:40). As the caretakers of the church, our ushers are always willing and ready to assist in the house of God.

Mission

To assist the pastor, members, and visitors during services and special events; to provide comfort and support to worshipers; to secure seating and ensure that order is maintained within the sanctuary.

The main duties of the usher’s ministry at Jesus House Birmingham include:

  • Meet, greet, and welcome members and visitors into services
  • Distribute bulletins and envelopes to worshipers
  • Usher members and visitors into their seats
  • Collect Tithes and Offerings
  • Counting of taking attendance
  • Maintain order during services
