Haggai Ministry

Guiding Scripture

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:17-18

Vision

The vision of Haggai Food Bank at Jesus House Birmingham is to provide hope by serving those within our immediate community. In addition, the Haggai ministry to serve and transform lives by serving food, and clothing to those in need; to create a safe and loving environment where we can meet the basic needs and be a vital part of God’s plan to make a difference in the lives of all of humanity.

Mission

At Jesus House Birmingham Haggai Food Bank we currently provide food, free of charge, to families and individuals in need. People may receive assistance once every 30 days: usually on the first Saturday of every month starting at 12 noon. We serve over 200 people each month and the needs are growing. The Haggai Food Bank requires monthly volunteers to process and give out over 1,000 pounds of food.

Guests to the Jesus House Birmingham Food Bank receive a bag of staple food items monthly.
